Since 1998, LIGHT’s mission is to promote health and wellness and education of children, families and individuals impacted by health and social disparities.

 

OUR VISION

LIGHT envisions a community where individuals are empowered to make healthy decisions, receive treatment for mental and physical health, and obtain the social support services that will help them live healthy and fulfilling lives.

LIGHT PROGRAMS

LIGHT Rock Child Care

We provide childcare and education for ages 6 weeks to 12 years at our licensed and accredited facility. Our curriculums are tailored to each age group and are created for children to achieve and grow.

LIGHT Conversation Support Group

For those impacted by HIV/AIDS, life can bring emotional and social challenges. Learning how these challenges affect your feelings and behavior, as well as having an outlet to share struggles with others, can help make addressing these challenges a little easier.

We provide referrals, education, and non-medical case management for those with chronic illnesses.

Today, LIGHT has served more than 20,000 individuals through child care, in addition to multiple complementary programs and services.

1,200+

Over the past 20 years LIGHT has provided childcare services to over 1,200 families with children.

Over the past 20 years YYAM has provided services to over 400 youth and young adults infected with HIV/AIDS.

300+

LIGHT has provided Education and Prevention to over 300 youth, Foster Care Parents, and Staff members in the Child Welfare and Department of JSP in Maryland.
